I thought facelift came in in 1988, so how can this 1989 cabbie have chrome bumpers?

Convertibles remained chrome after the facelift came out... 89 was the cut off I think but I stand to be corrected.

Convertibles didnt get the facelift until later - '91 Model year maybe ?

They weren't all chrome but the facelift ones were towards the end of the production run so not as many about.

1990/1 H would be the first facelift cabs.

J reg definately were facelift ( August 91 on ) think H plate cars still had the chrome bumpers

I believe it was 89 when Cabbies received the facelift also.

Looks straight enough, early rear lights, secondary driver,s door lock alarm thingy
and the L.E.D immobiliser light below the rear number plate.

H could be either.

I've had an H reg facelift. I've had chrome H reg too.

I've never had a G reg facelift.

Definitely late 90/early 91.

Produced in late 1990. Could be sold any time thereafter.

facelift's were PRODUCED after Oct 1990 I believe..someone might have had a pre facelift in stock way after that

Metal rather than plastic is a better identifier.

Your '87 will be "chrome" - even if it's shadowline/dechrome.
