That later syle is from the late 90's trev, wrong for your cab.

Even the roundel is the later one without the white band.

You need the thick font "Vines" one without the phone number.

Too late. Ordered them. Thought the earlier Vines was a bit plain? So went with the later ones. More period than whats on there in any case.

Okaaaaay! My plates from Dealer Plates have turned up and the Vines of Gatwick monika looks well. However, I'm not sure the font on the reg number is right! The M & W look wrong.

So I dug out some old plates for us to compare.

I've backed to backed them so it's easy to see.

At the top is my current style which we know is the modern font
Middle is a Chandlers Brighton plate made in '96 for my first e34 which I would have thought was the older font.
Bottom is the new plate wearing the Vines of Gatwick Monika.

and a close up of the dealer stamp which I'm happy with as it deletes the current "www.vinesbmw.co.uk" label :?

There are variations of the older font trev.

Magpie was after a pic of an old Chandlers one.

Incidentally, I don't know just how much use they'd be to any, but I have a couple of these:

If you can find a way to modify them with your preferred dealer name then they may prove useful...

If only I could get a tax disx holder, these would be perfect for mine.

That's the only thing I'm missing  I noticed your post earlier and thought I'd add this into the mix but could find a tax disc holder anywhere in the reams of paperwork I have.
