oil filter and oil changed today. was actually surprised that it didn't take long at all :)

just the fuel filter to go now and thanks Brian for the tips :D

think I have coolant leaking from the top rad hose so will have to sort that too at some point. hopefully this should be the last couple of things before I tackle getting the bodywork done!

after some idiot pranged the front I still need to replace my front valance, headlamp grills, kidney grille and at some point the bonnet. possibly the LHS front wing too

Send a PM to Adit if you need bits, he should have most if not all of it.

Sounds like he has it made....jammy git :o

I have similar skills, however being a dude, it doesn't tend to appeal as much to women as it would the other way around which probably explains my singleness. (well that and looking like I've been hit with the ugly shovel once too many times :D)

a little update for anyone who's interested :D

got a replacement front panel from adit last week and have replaced that, along with headlight and kidney grilles. I did snap the bonnet release last week so will need to fit that and a new bonnet once my other half gets back from fighting old Mad Dog in a couple months :D don't know many people from around here and the bonnet will definitely be a 2 person jobby! this is what my beloved e30 looked like post crash:

front panel off:

new panel on:

back together again!

does need spraying I know but it was starting to get dark and my little helper was leaving that day, just wanted to make sure I could get it on with no issues. anyone with a keen eye will spot the crease in the bonnet on the front passenger side

so stuff left to do:
bonnet & hinge
bonnet release
headlight housing
spray front panel
fuel filter
interior door handle
radiator hoses
wiring loom for sidelight

phew! good thing I enjoy doing all of this 8O

I did the master on my 316 years back but got an expert to do the slave as it looked a PITA to do.

agreed. Master was a right PITA.

Valve clearances, new spark plugs (BP6RES - so leave it out), fuel filter change, clean up of injectors and a few other assorted engine bay jobs for me this weekend - hoping to finally sort the idle issue - when warm it doesn't hunt it just revs up to abut 1750 and sits there. TPS, thingummy under inlet manifold etc to be looked at.

I'm also finally going to get the ebay fuel eating chip out of the ECU and put the stock one back in... :o: I have learned my lesson, the K&N went at E30topless's place - he wouldn't even dream of putting it back in!
