Right, there was interest shown in this late last year when I started a thread on it.
Yesterday the dates were released of when meets are taking place this year.
I would like to see a GENUINE show of interest for those who would be keen in attending. Both people who want to run and those who would just come to spectate.
First of all, these are the dates and what is going on at the events.
Bear in mind Santa Pod this year is on 10th July, so with the expense of doing that, consider if you would prefer to have this event before or after pod.

The general plan I was working on is whatever the race day is, camp the night before and have a general lash up. There is usually quite a few racers that camp there and there is a bar that is open and sometimes there is entertainment such as live music.
Camping is by no means compulsory and some people may want to just arrive on the day either to race or just spectate, it's up to you.
So, to conclude, what I'm after at this stage is a show of interest and express a preference on dates. I will then contact the organisers to see if we can have our own class, so we would always run against each other. Unless there are say 10 cars which will defo turn up & race, then we won't bother asking for a class, we wil just run with other RWYB runners.

I can't do the Easter weekend as I'm getting dragged to Nowrich for the mother in-law's birthday, dagnamnit!DanThe wrote:Was talking to Dezzy about this since you mentioned the first meet is easter weekend, wouldnt mind planning that as the first CR24v-tm official meet of the year
There is a meeting the following weekend on the first May bank holiday which may be quiet with there being a 2 day meeting the weekend before.

More the merrier Mike, be it camping over for a lash up, just turning up to do a few passes on the Sunday, or just turning up to spectate.
Would like to get a good crew of E30's there, plus there's plenty more action to watch such as the american superstock stuff, crazy aircooled stuff, plenty of 9 second+ cars there, a jet car. Really friendly atmosphere. It's a bit of a dive, but the people & the racing make up for it.

Any more interest in this?
Sunday 1st May
How many are genuinely interested in Camping on Saturday night?
Can we make a list of who is coming, if we had say 10 cars that were running we would have our own class, but that's not the be all and we'd probably run against each other in the RWYB class we would be put in (2.0L and over without turbo or nitrous)

Just bumping this for definite show of interest.
On present form, it will be a case of turning up on the Sunday 1st May, either paying just to park & spectate, or paying to race.
If any other info is needed, please let me know.

It's £12.50 to get in
It's £30 for unlimited RWYB. If you are there and ready to race at 10.00am and stayed until past 4pm you'd see over 20 runs, especially at the end of the day you just line up, run and then come straight back round.
Your car does get scrutineered before you pay any money to run, so checking for any leaks, loose battery etc etc. No fluid leaks whatsoever.
Aye Steve, the Yank stuff really does it for me
