I bought what I was told was the last set of M88 leads in stock in Germany a couple of years ago. Nearer £400 than £350 IIRC.

BMW HT leads are much better made!anything else is not made to the same spec.
They don't make bm's like this anymore!..They should.

Only BMW would be stupid enough to force HT leads through a 90 degree angle then wonder why you get cross firing issues!

Saying that I thought £160 was excessive!

I have had my car for over 10yrs now with no issues with the ht leads, two years before i got the bm i had a ford i was trying to change the spark plugs so when i took the ht lead off it just broke off in my hand the other half was still attached to the spark plug in the engine.I went out and got another set but they just seem to be to very thin may be because it was a ford.Rich_W wrote:Disagree!tonybtonyb wrote:BMW HT leads are much better made!anything else is not made to the same spec.

Don't compramise on such a vital item.. buy cheap buy twice!! Sometimes buying cheap leads can cause more trouble than they are worth.. you've been warned!!

Buying bmw approved parts guarantees compatability.. i made the mistake of buying some quality german leads for my 320/b25 from gsf.. they caused a miss.. put a genuine set of used leads on.. worked like a charm.. the proof is in the pudding.

I was in BMW last week and an old geezer came in and asked about a battery on a 735i you could tell the guy behind the counter was actually embarrased to say how much it was like he was goin to to be scared of his reaction £238!!! The geezer even had to ask him to reapeat himself becasuse he said it quiet but then answered by saying "ok how much for fitting?" I though give me a tenner and I'll do it now for you lol
Some parts you actually save money going main dealer (not everything)
