US Spec Side Markers

I need to replace the bumper mouldings in the future, & was toying with the idea of fitting the US Spec ones with the side markers in. Has anyone here done this? How would they be wired in to the existing lights? Would there be any issues with the MOT?

They wire into the circuit for the indicators/running lamps.
In the front the wires come out from the loom just before the plug for the front indicator/running lamps and run back to where the sidemarkers go.
In the rear the wiring comes out of the loom just before the connector for the rear light panel, down and through a pair of grommets below each tail light assembly and of to the sidemarkers.
I love how in the US everyone wants the markerless "Euro-trim" and it seems the same applies on the other side of the pond too!!
