Just to upset the mix, my Z3 rack will quite happily boil the fluid while driving down the motorway.
You need to consider fitting an oil cooler if you want the rack to last.

Still gotta figure out too why my brake pedal is sticking down and not returning back up

You'll need to sort that or it will lead to gearbox and diff wear, could just be a weak spring or the pedal needs a bit of grease.
