I used Lancaster last year and got mine quoted for £360...
This year my cheapest quote is £375 with Sureterm direct.
Thats with no years no claims too as always been named driver or classic insurance...
Give them a try.

Edited the points out as they expired august, so its a clean license the quote is based on

How the hell do you get it that low?! You got loads of ncb? I moved house from a built up area too 6 months ago, moved to the country with six acres of land, main garden surrounded by 8 foot fences with 25 dogs in kennels within this part where my car is... Electric gates... No way in.... Much more secure and they put it up!

You cant declare your ncb with them as its a classic policy. What i find with lancaster is if you do a quote on their website the quote they first give you is always more, wait for them to email you or txt you the next day and it will be considerably lower
It can come down to your job and area of course and if its garaged, ive also got a very low millage limit. Thing is you dont get much rougher than the area i live in so i dont understand it either
I had an 89 325i touring earlier in the year with them for £134.00 for the year

Yeah, The fact its a 325i sport doesnt make much difference it is a 23 year old classic car on a classic policy with limited millagesajad09 wrote:That is seriously cheap for a tech 1 sport!!!
Try them yourself just dont ring them or they will rape you! And dont take the first quote that comes up, fill all your details in instead of doing the quick quote and wait for them to get back to you, worked for me so should work for everyone in theory.

Just had a look now and it asked me if Ihad any ncb touse on this policy?
I thought I would try it with 4 years even though I havent got that... It went up by £200...
Makes no sense to me...
I really dont want to be paying more than £30 a month but loks like its gonna be more like £50 a month!

I cant remember the ncb section tbh, i have none anyway as i dont tend to keep cars long. Should easily be able to get it for less than £50 a month. Have you tried confussed.com? Lancaster always used to come up as the cheapest on there by a considerable amount.Jim320i wrote:Just had a look now and it asked me if Ihad any ncb touse on this policy?![]()

also,is it an urban myth or can garages make your policy go up sometimes?
the theory being if you have a car with anti-theft devices of any sort the cover of a garage gives said tea-leaf time to "work" on getting round them as opposed to parked on a well lit street

Are your E30's your second cars, and do you have to be insured on a daily driver aswell?
