Hi all
Replaced everything now (apart from the blue temp sensor) and the engine races between 750 to 3k reva for about a minute...
Filter changed
Fuel pipes changed
Air filter changed
Vaccum pipes checked
So.... is it the blue temp sensor???
Or am I missing something?
And on a similar note, now I've found the damn sensor (cheers Daimlerman) how the hell do you change it? Do I need to remove anything to get access?
Cheers
Stu

IF you're brave you could probably get a socket on a longe extension bar over the top of it once you've removed the plug iirc it's a 17mm nut. Basically it's a screw out, screw in job but you might have to drain the the head of coolent first. (not 100% on that though)
If you're not feeling brave you'll have to pull the top hal of the inlet manifold off to make it easy access.

To change the blue temp sensor on a M40, first remove the AFM/air meter then remove the black frame that supports everything under the manifold. It supports the fuel pipes, wiring box, etc.
Leave everything in place that's attached to it, just hanging.
You should be able to then push your way through to the temp sensor.
