Instead of buying new horseshoe struts from a BMW dealership for my E30 I used this company www.sgs-engineering.com to get them re-gassed and tested,I was very very impressed with the service and the price,£24.09 which includes carriage.I sent them off on Monday morning and I got them back today (wednesday). There was absolutely no sign of them having any work carried out on them other than a re-gas date.I highly recommend these guys. They also stock many new struts at a third of price of a dealership.

even cheaper fix is to pick up an old front seat, take the back off, and you'll see two struts. Strip these off, and voila - they make a great set of horseshoe struts. Often FOC for those old knackered seats!

That is a very good price for a single pre facelift boot strut.
Ok not OEM, but if they can re- gas originals, it,s a good standby.

Good find ah. 8)

For the boot strut, a Mini one (fresh from the scrappies) has been doing the job in my car for a couple of years. I've got the other one from the same Mini somewhere! :)
