hi,

i have just put some 16" bbs rs alloys onto my e30 cabby....which has a mtec 2 kit on and is quite low... i think it has been lowered 50mm.

the back end can do with being a little lower but the front is really high and the gap is huge.

what options do i have?.... if i lower more... then the mtec2 front bumper will hit the floor?

thanks

Were the correct springs fitted.

Engine weights are different 4 pot or 6 pot.

Rear end is heavier on cabby's and tourings than saloons.

are you aware that the lowest most important metallic part of an e30 is the sump.

tyres look completely wrong, 40 profile/streched ? :(

I love RS's, they make your car look awesome, fitting the right tyres should make the arch gap look good

but please lose the Boot spoiler and lexarse lights

I would use a 205/50R16 on the front and a 225/45R16 on the rear.

The correct sizes.

^^^

I would go with the sizes Barry says. Low profile stretched tyres are fine on vw's here you can slam them without major issues but due to the e30 design the sump is always the limiting factor on a good stance.

I would fit the right size tires, lower it until your happy with the stance and then fit a sump guard.

If the engine is still to low you can use spacers on the mounts to lift it(last resort), either way you will have to get used to scrapping on speedbumps.

Just fit coilovers, that's what I did when I put my splits on and the arch gap was too large.

No sump gurad or spacing, stretched tyres and I have no issues with it, apart from having to slow down for the occasional speed bump that goes all the way across the road. Granted not all the arch gap is gone but enough for me.

Sump guard is insurance. Also I'm rolling on 15's with an m50 so clearance is a big problem. Your e30 looks awesome.
