Hi all
If a wheel bearing has gone on the front would it cause the wheel to stick out?

worn bearings cause noise thats it really this is some thing you can check is the car moded lowered etc any way get under it check wheels are they all the same in every way check for any worn bushs check front struts are the same in every way measure if you have to the reason why i say this is there is many people who put items in to cars that appear the same but are in fact different also has this happened while you have had the car or like this from the day you got it, if it has just happened i would not drive it as it could cause more problems ie items to replace

A totally collapsed wheel bearing would make the wheel stick out the bottom, but that would be the least of the symptoms in that case.
The simple explanation is probably that your car is bent.

Having driven a car on a collapsed bearing, the wheel does indeed stick out,it is also pretty obvious as it wobbles around 8O

Could it not be damaged suspension components causing it?

If it was just one wheel akimbo, then it could be worn trailing arms or something, but if your car is doing a crab impression, then chances are its been wrapped up at some point. What are the panel gaps like?
