I'm looking at getting a set of winter tyres to get me out of Buxton in the snow (I know it's a bit early yet, but this is Buxton!).

Knowing a narrower section works better in the snow, are there any other wheels, eg vw golf which have the same fitment?

I'm not too bothered about the offset as long as there's no rubbing of the inner wing or other bits - the wheels don't need to look particularly flush with the body line. I just want some cheap narrow section steelies that fit.

You ought to check out EARS in Macc for winter tyres......Forest Rally ones in 14inch work well over the Cat and Fiddle :)
