I have been unfaithful to my 320i.

Well, I have gone and done it! The 2.7 lump is in and I road tested it last night.
The best way to describe it is colourful - Red stuff Brakes and Brown stuff undies.
Anyway I will be at Gaydon with the Sheep Shagg*rs - (sorry, South Wales BMW Region Club )
Mine will be the funny coloured moordoor with an old bald git in attendance. (me)
Come and say hello.

Yep, I will post Pictures Just as soon as someone shows me how to use this interweb thingy.
(Dont hold your breath)
If you are at the Gaydon show - come and see the front seats that Gibson Trimming did for me -they are truly a work of art.

When my first 2.7 ran-up the white flag I was offered a 2.5 for sensible money but I just had to have another 2.7 - anything less than that would have been second-best.
The Torque on this 2.7 is just what I wanted.
I really do live half way up a mountain in Wales and the 2.0 litre was just not up to it. Sheep were going up faster than me.
The 2.7 on the other hand flew up in 4th.
Mine was a budget build - low mileage (71K) 2.7 block, 2.0 litre flowed head, 2.5 every thing else but it don't half go well.
Started up first time and ran sweet straight off - That's down to the A-Tech Chip (Thanks Ant)
I really am looking forward to the run to Gaydon. See you all there.

Dezzy, those hides have induced a minor man crisis. What are they and where might one find a set.
Unequivocally the best non-standard seats I've ever seen in an E30.

Wash your mouth out my friend. None standard? They are E30 recaro highbacks. They have just be recovered and the info is in my build thread in my sig. Finding them isn't really an option as they are very rare.

Sorry fella, didn't realise Recaro High Backs were standard, mine look different to that, no offence intended!
Read some of your build thread, very nice indeed...

P.S. Dezzy: I have done the honourable thing and researched further in order to better appraise myself so that in future I may prevent the opening of my sub snot-locker aperture from causing offence...
Having read what I found I now like your seats even more and will no doubt begin my own exhaustive quest to find such beauty.
swllt: Sorry for hi-jacking your thread, but learning has taken place, for which I am grateful to you.

Another convertee to the 2.7 cause!
I am now using a stock 323 cam, quite an improvement.
2.7 is much nicer to drive than my M50'd touring,I'm thinking about building a 2.8 to replace the M50,but I am currently banned from 'garage projects'....

Youth is wasted on the young.
Luxorbeige rightness. Remember chatting to you at Gaydon last year - pleased to see you've got your 2.7 built up. Tempted to build a 2.8 for mine when funds allow (so probably never!). I reckon your 2.7 spec is probably 'just right' for a road car though, I guess it's all low down stomp?
