So my engine build will be complete soon and I am in need of some injectors... I read about some injectors being a higher impedance and only suitable for certain cars...

Whats this about?

My car is a pre facelift but I will be doing the motronic upgrade (supplied by SPADGE) so what type of injectors should I be getting... Its a 2.7 with all the good bits..

Can someone give a example of a injector on ebay or something?

Mike

Impedance = resistance measured with alternating current.

How much power?
Injectors are sized according to power requirements.
No one can say if you don't give specs of the engine/ECU chip.
I can guess perhaps 19lb greens from an E36 328 if you're looking at 200-230 crank Hp.

ok, apparently the sketch is that if your on a good 2.7 than fully rebuilt 2.5 injectors are more than adequate. anything else needs an eprom or a map that knows about them and compensates for them. i used to use the M50B20 injectors and i personally felt it to be a smoother rev band. but i am nearing my 2.7 and been told its a super no no.
M30B35 etc injectors with the AFM and a lambda also are apparently not worth it.... so i have been told...

Ok so then its the stock 325i 17pounds that I will get....... But do I need the high or low impedance ones.... Is the high impedance ones for the 1.3 motronic?

Mike, the stock E30 325i injectors are 14.5 lb/hr. They are high impedance.

The part number is 0-280-150-715.

If you want to go a step up then the 0-280-150-714 injectors are a direct bolt in part and will be fine on Motronic 1.3. They flow at just over 18 lb/hr an will give you loads of head room. You will need to map for them, though, to get benefits. The 715s will work 100% right out of the box with the management you plan to use.

This site will give you all the tech info you will need:

Ade thanks for the reply mate much informative

So stock 325i injectors are 14.5lb

And the 1.3 motronic uses high impedance and the early motronic uses low impedance injectors.
