Another zoner suggested hooking Autopia Service Centres up with other traders, because of the synergy of the DIY/Self Service workshop and E30 traders offering parts for sale.

I thought it was a great idea and it could work by us hosting an autojumble in the car park around our workshop, probably on a Sunday.

Does anyone else (traders/zoners) think it might be a good idea and if so what's the level of interest?

A whole new meaning to car boot sale. Think it would work as a monthly thing. Myself i'm to far away but there is a lot of zoner's up that way and it should work.

But thats the thing, car boots are just big buckets of sh1t with maybe an odd shimmer of gold but an auto jumble of e30 stuff is like an aladins cave to most of us.

Great, many thanks for all the positive comments, we could make it a monthly event, but it depends upon traders wanting to bring their wares, I also need to check local council regulations on hosting a temporary 'market'.

So........ I'll provisionally set a date for the first one - 20th June, which is five weeks away and hopefully enough time for traders to plan for it. If that goes well and there's enough demand, we'll set a second date of 18th July.

Traders, please pm me or drop me an email to darren@autopiaservicecentres.co.uk to confirm attendance, there is plenty of space in the car park in front of workshop for you to spread your goodies out, bring trestles or tarpaulins as you require.

As soon as I get some confirmed traders, I'll announce it on my website - http://www.autopiaservicecentres.co.uk and updates will be on there.

What about somewhere a lil more central based - giving more zoners the chance to make it?

Blackburn is a mission! But E30autojumble? Give me enough notice and incentive for parts etc..im there!

I'm sure zoners could bring a box of e30 stuff they don't need. I'm sure i could fill up a car!

What about brum? its all a tip anyway

Roadtrip it is then. Now what sort of parts are we talking about winkeye

amongst the little bits, I'm assuming heavier items would be more worthwhile the trip for; powdercoated trailing arms, struts, LSDs etc?

Thanks Falkster, it was a suggestion by another zoner - see Traders forum and you're right, there would be space to host something like that in the car park outside our workshop.

I'm sure there is interest in organising similar events in other parts of the country, but I don't have capacity to be the organiser, my suggestion to E30gazza and E30nut is to take the lead and organise them, it just needs someone to take some ownership in those areas.

Bit too far for us to get to but if people want to place orders for a day at yours we could deliver direct for ease and save zoners the shipping??

I thought traders would have been chomping at the bit to sell their stuff at an organised event but none have committed to this so far.

So, as a couple of zoners have suggested in this thread that they might have stuff to sell themselves, why don't we open it up to any zoners who want to sell off their un-needed spares?

If you're a North-West zoner and you've got some spare parts to sell, let me know if you'd like me to organise this autojumble?

best regards

Hi Phil,

I've had no commitment from any traders so I just suggested if zoners want to turn up and bring things for sale, we can do a bit of a car-boot?

I'll be here anyway so I'll post on the forum that it's going ahead if anyone wants to turn up with stuff.

best regards

Just to confirm, this car-boot/autojumble is going ahead if any zoners want to bring stuff down to sell to other zoners, I'll provide Tea and Coffee and there's plenty of parking, suggest we plan for the two hours between 12pm - 2pm?
