But the problem with going striped means you also have to go C2 badged.
And thus 2.7 engine.
And so on and so on.

Can anyone answer this, why do some cars have the C2 2.7 on the right and some on the left, with the Alpina script on the opposite side to that

The correct way is ALPINA on the left and model designation on the right.

you naturally read from right to left..
so it would 'say' Alpina -----C2.7
and not C2.7 ------Alpina

Not only that, the model designation replaces the the BMW one, ie 325i.
