Had to drive into a rough farm yard today and through some long grass. My oil level warning light is on on the check panel, yet the level is fine and the pressure switch goes out normally after cranking. I assume I've damaged the sensor, does anyone know it's location and I'll have a gander tomorrow?, thanks.

Mines underneath the engine block, part No 3 in the below,
not sure if it,s in the same place on all types though.
Mines an early 325i, if that helps.

Hi Gooner, mine's an 88 325i touring, it's not the presure switch I'm wondering about, but the level sensor for the check control display, I suppose if should be about the sump somewhere?
