Looks good, i hope your changing them taped up hoses with new ones :wink:

mine had the gaffa tape treatment, once i had fitted new ones, came to £30-£40 for all off them the car drove loads better at lower revs, and the idle was a little better too, was spot on to start with to be honest :)

Yer i bought all new hoses and forgot to ask for all new air hoses :mad:
the circled bit is the bit that has come off somehow.Image
Can i get a new one ? Drill it out and get a bit of pipe and weld it in there?

The rust in my batery tray should i just primer and spray with satin black in there( got 2 tins of it) or do i need some special paint

Yeah, I also recognise the diction and generally poor english as armarnib's trademark.

As for the broken off pipe I think you may want to take it to a proper machineshop to sort out as I'm pretty sure nothing should corrode off a cylinder head.

Its not limescale, its the alloy starting to corrode.

A wire brush and some WD40 will get it off.

Once i get it off is there some sort of laquer or protection i can use to stop it coming back?
Or will the engine running be enough
Gonna have to get my masonry drill and wire brush drill bit out tomorrow then

as bss325i said, its corroding alu, if your intending to paint it then use a good high temp paint ment for alu and it wont be back.

and for once he was only asking for some help and not being a twat, so i think some slack is due here.

as for the corroded bit on the head it could be due to a combination of factors, either poor coolant mix, or galvanic corrosion.
