My 325 Tourer is a dream come true: different from all the other company cars; smooth; powerful; easy and cheap to maintain myself (I change the oil every 5000 miles); driving carefully I average 32mpg overall and often get well over 400 miles between fills (especially if the journeys are mainly motorway cruising); I've had mine 2 years now, done 50,000 miles (mileage now reads 177,000), and it's only let me down once (fuel pump expired - £5 from the scrappers to replace it).
This car, the best investment I ever made, was transformed with the addition of stock 15" BBS wheels. I've been working my way through all the little niggles and problems that came with the car and recon it is still worth the £700 I paid for it.
What's left to do: I just discovered the rear sunroof drain channels have rusted off (wet under the rear seats and soaking rear carpets) so will fix this when I remove and refurb the sagging headlining; I've also got a spare crack-free dash and cruise control and will fit these when the summer arrives. 2 years and still purring. Next question is: what's the highest mileage E30 still going strong?
If your E30 is also your daily...

There is one an oil company put on a rolling road with a million miles + on.
Others on here have 300000 still going.

Mines currently on 232,000 miles. After some TLC over the end of last year it's running fine. No loss on oil AT ALL , fluids levels are fine , engine still has a wonderfull balanced feel to it and sounds great. Sure it's tricky when cold but it's typical of what it is but once warmed through it just pures and when I'm blasting on A roads the car howles due to the unquie set up of exhuast system!KimH wrote: Next question is: what's the highest mileage E30 still going strong?
I know some on here have done over 260,000 miles but I think my Alpina might be the highest of the e30 Alpina's we have on the zone. Ironically mines only done 7000 a year since new!

I am currently exchanging fuel (deposited out of the car by a currently un-located leak) for water (getting into the car by a currently un-located leak).
I don't think I'm alone though.
