my 325es had some tuner-muffler thing fitted, so i removed it and attached a cheap muffler/backbox to it. it is quieter.... however doing highway speeds or up hills..etc.. i have noticed that it's not much of an improvement. What type of exhaust should i be looking for if i want to quiet mine down a bit? ----i know, 'quiet', i sound lame...

You can't beat an OE exhaust. IMO they're not overly expensive, superbly made (my original lasted over 18 years) and will fit perfectly. I've made the mistake of fitting cheap Timax and Walker crap in the past - they've rarely sounded "right" and end up needing replacing a couple of years later.

If you plan on keeping the car, OE all the way.

You got a walker to last a couple of years 8O

Mine destroyed 2 new walker centre sections in 8 months, only paid for the first one but I gave up then and bought genuine and she sounds lovely 8)
