I think they're cool because they're retro, in the same way the e30 is cool because its retro, you can get 'better' wheels than bottle tops in the same way you can get 'better' cars than the e30, some faster better handling more reliable etc. The point of cool is that it is cool, not that it is the best.

I can't be ar53d to read every post on every page here, but I have questions.
Is it the design of the wheels that offends so many people, or the fact they are only available in 14"??
If they were made in 15" or 16" in 4x100, would they be any more acceptable?
If this has been covered earlier in the thread, please accept my humble apologies.

That's my take on it as well, I just wondered if many people feel the same.bss325i wrote:The styling of them, they look horrific!
Seems to me that most people here want to put 15s, 16s or 17s on their E30s. TBH IMHO some of the 16s and 17s I've seen on E30s are shocking styling-wise. "Council"!!

Style 10's. Malcolm has a set of these. Bough from me. Also available in 5 stud for an e34 / 32.rh306 wrote:If you didn't like BBS or bottletops, you could always have specified theseOnly available from '90 onwards I think though

I actually quite like these as a daily wheel. especially when they are finished as nice as that. Easy to clean, OEM and strong.

I rather like Style10s. My main reason for wanting to go to 16s was the far better chioce of tyres in the correct size.B7 wrote:Style 10's. Malcolm has a set of these. Bough from me. If 205/55x15s had a better chioce, or if 205/50x15s were the correct size for E30s, I would have stayed with 15s and looked-out for a decent set of Style10s.
I only had 2 choices of 16s - Hartges or Azev A - luckilly, the Hartges came along first.

If bottletops were available in 15x7 I'd be happy with them. BBS look fantastic but bottletops are much easier to keep up. Now, if bottletops were 16x8 and BBS 15x7 only......
