What about one of the ebay suspension setups cost around £180, never used one mind so can't say if there any good

1991 BMW E30 318i Neon Design Convertible (Sold)
1990 BMW E30 325i Touring (Sold)

It depends on what you want to do. My H&R springs were £150 and the ride is perfect IMO. They are -35 mm. If it was me I would fit these and standard replacement shocks. If your going low 60/40 then any old sh!t will do. It will drive rubbish on any of the kits you can get for £250.

I have experience of Spax dampers.
What you save in initial costs, you will pay out many times over in remedial dental work.

Euro car parts do a suspension kit that comprises of 4 biltstein B4 shocks (Mtech equivialnt) and 40mm springs (not sure what make) which was about £250.
The ebay cheapo kits are made by hottuning and are not very good.
Also, if you put any lowering springs on old standard shocks they will soon fail and you will have a terrible ride and crap handling!

Seriously...was just a question..get over it.
Im just curious as their is a big price difference between the ECP mentioned kit and the other option of going down the coilovers/springs route. Compromise in quality?
Dont worry pac - I ain't askin u

And keep ya so called favours to yourself if you gonna be a bitch about it.
WTF are you on about you d!ck head?!
You started a thread asking about budget suspension so myself and others answered. Are we all "acting E30 god like"?
Your the one bitching because someone suggested you dont be so lazy and look it up yourself! You have a f*cking computer in front of you!
Maybe its work just before new years eve. Anyhow - sorry if I've upset or annoyed anyone with my words!
I'm looking to do the suspension on my car and the 'ECP kit' seems to be in my budget. However, I don't want to compromise on quality and if the coilovers would be a better bet, I'd rather save a few pennies and be patient!

I've got an Apex kit on my car and I can't fault it for the money. Think it was around the £250 from europerformance. Don't even consider Spax stuff - it's far too harsh. I had a spax PSX kit (-60mm) before and it was far too harsh for the road even on the softest setting and the car sat way lower than 60mm. My Apex kit lowers by 35mm and the car sits perfectly now and the ride is firm but comfortable.
