I live about 20 mins from Scott325SE (he's in Carmarthen - ish) just outside Narberth, Pembs.
I'd be up for a meet (yep, even on a week night!) but my engine has just gone kaput and I'm stuffed on the E30 front at the moment. My 320 touring needs a new steering rack (which I'm in the process of changning myself - oh my god, what a ballache that's turned into) and my 325i touring is in need of a new cylinder head.
Apart from that I'm ready to go!!

If it was a Sport, then probably not if it was a year ago.RotE30 wrote:Scott325se I dont suppose it was you in the black 325i sport about a year ago that i lost a drag to in the dark and the wet on the a470 north road near the m4 coming into cardiff? - i watched it squat and the lsd squirm all over the road - lush car. I cant remember what i was driving, maybee a red auto.
If it was more than a year ago, then possibly, but my Sport has been tucked up in the garage for the last 12 months.
If it was a 4door and not a Sport, then it might have still been me, as my 4door is black too. Thats LSD equipped and does pretty well. I tend to drive my cars pretty heavy all round, so the back end squatting and squirming around wouldnt be an un-known event.
I do make a point of looking across to E30 drivers and giving them a 'nod' if they pass me/i pass them. Sort of a "nice car mate" or "yep, youve got one of them too..... " knowing nods.
ive had this happen to me a few times lolSCOTT325SE wrote:If it was a Sport, then probably not if it was a year ago.RotE30 wrote:Scott325se I dont suppose it was you in the black 325i sport about a year ago that i lost a drag to in the dark and the wet on the a470 north road near the m4 coming into cardiff? - i watched it squat and the lsd squirm all over the road - lush car. in a very minor way its almost like saying "yea, we're having more fun than most other people on their journeys"
lol its a good sense of smugness for e30 owners knowing our 20 year old bangers are twaice as good as any other car from that generation

If you're going to track it go polybush. If not then buy the regular ones from BMW itself. They're nearly as cheap as the GSF/Euro car parts.
I'm sure if you speak to BMW Cotswold they'll do you a deal or get the reference numbers off REALOEM (google it) and then speak to bmminiparts.co.uk but I'd speak to BMW in the first instance.
I have no relationship with bmmini...their prices just look really cheap!

Well, I live in a little village just outside (which I wont bore you with the details!). Just in the process of buying a car ramp for one of the sheds here so me and my brother in law can work on the cars properly!
Don't take my advice on the bushes - make sure you get a second opinion - there are people on here with far more knowledge. As I understand it the polybushes place too much strain on other parts of teh suspension - which is fine if you're going to strengthen them for racing but a complete ballache if it's just for road-use. As I say - I'm sure if you post in Technical someone with far more info will be along shortly!

Evening all
I'm up in the Heath, although my kids live in llanrumney. I think I seen a black E30 with tri spokes in the area. Also saw a nice red E30 on Tuesday morning up on the coast road by Tesco.
I got a beigh left hooker (car not a prossey).
