guys ive tried almost everything to get the front fog lights on my e30 320 but failed ,if it is the relay wont probably some of the other functions stop working or is there a seperate relay just for the fog lights

You haven't tried everything! For a start, you haven't used the search function, and found the thread I contributed to in the last month, that led someone else through the full procedure.
Fog lights have a seperate relay, but it won't be the problem.

mine woudn't work for a while, i took them both out and sanded all the contacts, cleaned everything up and voila, it works.. worth trying sometimes old cars like these just need a bit of tlc 8)

Sanding electrical contacts is a good way of arranging future faults for yourself! Not only does it remove whatever plating is on the underlying metal, but it embeds particles of grit into the metal surface.
Use a fibreglass pencil, a scraper, or a file.
