Just after about 2 hours of restling, got the stupid chrome trim in, for the rear windscreen.

Got the front to do tommorrow. Have to say it is one of the worst jobs I've done on the chromie, replacing my whole interior was easier.

After the front is done, I hope to never do it again. :roll: Although the finished product looks great and is a vast improvement.

:ttiwwp:

I need to do mine - considering replacing with shadowline - or just spraying the existing trim black - would that work ?

I will take pictures when I have finished the whole job!

And there is nothing better than new chrome :drool:

Rob It's not a job I would recommend but it certainly looks great when done. Shadowline would look :puke:

Yep used the tool, cost me £25 and was cr*p although did make the job slightly easier than using screw drivers.

if your using new windscreen rubbers then it really isn't fun but if there the original ones then its 400 times easier!

me and my mate did my last windscreen swap in under 10 mins from walking out of the front door, to putting the kettle on all triumphant! :D
that was using a coat hanger, some screwdrivers and some washing up liquid. it even cleaned the car while we worked :P

new rubbers are not fun though :?

I've got to get round to de-chroming my 325 at some point. I was surfing the net last night and came up with this DIY;

http://www.strictlyeta.net/technical/shadowline.html

Anyone had a go?

The front and rear screen rubbers need replacing too..

Alternatively - if anyone is after the full chrome kit and has a shadowline trim up for swaps - give me a shout!

Exactly! :(

The windscreen is proving an arse to do, as they were new rubbers last year! :cry:
