Gave him my details, and he claimed payment will be sent by 2pm the next day, never heard from him after that.

Looks like he's just trying to do quicky for sure now. Just allow him.
Did you give him your Bank details????? 8O
Yep, he can't do nothing, he only has the details needed to pay into it.

If you were on here ALL the time, I think you'd remember your username.

Just supply the guy with a photo of the damage and be done with it.

Woa this is all a bit vicious!.... All i said is that its cracked and i would like a refund? just what any normal person would do. Magpie you know deep down that was not packaged well enough... its was pathetic.

Forget it mate.. this scenario is exactly what i meant! i wanted a refund...not to a saga like this. Either way you have my money and i have nothing, live and learn i guess.

how about you PM me your address i send it back to you, you keep the money and we leave it at that becuase at the end of the day im not being labeled as some sort of cheap skate.

and Spadge i honestly cant remember my user name..i wasnt on here as much as most... i often used to comment on the chap who made the post about 'm3 story that s enough to make you cry' but i cant find that post now

Anyway lets close up on this sour deal. pm me magpie

Negative from me.

1.Item was damaged
2.Poorly packaged
3.Accused me of damaging the item i bought from him just so i could return for a refund Rolling Eyes

Communication was usualy prompt though.

Not worth the hassle... definatley better zoners to buy off.

1.not when it left me.
2.wrong
3.where did this happen ?

2&3 = :bs:

still no pics

Are you going to send me that address?

and what difference do pics make..... it will show a crack(fracture) what ever you want to call it and some 'thin' bogstandard bubble wrap that i dont think is fit to send anything in...its so thin that the only thing it could offer is a false sense of security!!

feck... I cant beleive this has done 3 pages!!! its a cracked light thats been broken in transit... its happened to me i sent a pair of lights that i thought were wrapped securely.. they ended out being cracked when they turned up. me and the buyer sorted it out he returned the damaged pair. i seen them then got another set out to him but was more careful in wrapping them also sent them through a courier rather than the p.o job done happy buyer and no big topics or scandals...

Well if thats the case and the light was genuinely damaged in the post, i apologise for making whatever comment i did about no refund.

I'm sure Spadge will send you the light, but if not, i've got a spare you can have "free"

^i bet your buyer had better decorum.

being threatened with neg feedback from the off and blaming me etc

i mean you never even looked in your pm box to see if i'd been in touch about a refund,

and i had,so as that was my intention i'll stick to it.

you can pm me your details same as i did you and i will transfer the money i said i would tonight.
the money was never a problem.

maybe don't be all gung ho and people will react differently.

I maybe a newbie on here, but I have alot of experiance sending items through the mail, as it is what i do for a living.
The reality here is that you are covered by royal mail against damages and if a customer says something is damaged then you can follow that route to claim your money back.
Obviously there are jokers out there, and people do try to scam you, but most people out there are genuine enough and just want what they paid for.
Sometimes RM manage to damage items that are well packed, it happens.
The thing to do here would have been refund him and pursue it through RM, it takes ages but thats the joy of running a business, one of the things you have to deal with. I don't believe you don't send recorded also, makes the claiming process a bit less painful!

Not trying to come across as a know it all, but thats my take on it as someone who deals with a large amount of postage, I certainly wouldn't have broadcast it over a forum, thats just unprofessional.

Of course it doesn't help if people attitude isn't great, and its easy to have a kneejerk reaction to this.

If the fella with 14 posts had posted up this about the user with a couple of thousand, would the reactions have been the same I wonder?

Just my 2cents!

i admit i was a bit gung ho magpie becuase i was a bit pi**ed off to be honest. i didnt threaten anything i just said dont drag your feet otherwise i will leave neg feedback...inevitable surely?

Magpie this is how it is, you have good feedback and i dont want to be the bloke to blemish what seems to be a good record so just refund me and we can forget it.

The reason i need this back light is becuase i locked my keys in the boot of my car and had to smash the back light to fish them out ( and no i dont have the ski hatch option on my car) its been off the road since. hence my lack of patience.
