Hi guys,

After replacing the speed sensor wire, the speedo was working perfectly for more than 2 month.

Now it seems to have a new problem, when the speedo start the dancing routine (up and down), the temp gauge will do the same but not as dramatically. It doesn't happen all the time.

You guys think its related to the cluster because I don't see how the speed sensor wires have anything to do with the temp gauge.

Cheers

Best to get the cluster out I think mate - it's either the brass screws or the SI batteries as above.

Ah ok, if it is the SI batteries fault, is it changeable ?

Hey neighbours :D
Think I got a spare SI board, e30newbie. Which SI board do you have - 1 or 3 reds?
Let me know if yours is buggered.

Like he said.
The cluster I have is an earlier one with 3 red lights. They aren't interchangeable. Not many of the early ones seemed to have survived. I got a recon unit US eBay that works well, came guarenteed for about AUS$60 posted
