They are internal on the billies aren't they?? So you don't need the one in the pics above.

go to euro car parts they can get you some poly ones!
mine cost me 25 quid, i don't have billies though all i had to do was measure the size of the piston (width) and they looked to find the right ones :D
i do have a bit of an advantage as the guy who works there is into his bm's got a very nice

you mean the bumpstops that bilstein build into their B8 shocks so that you don't have to worry about such a trivial thing?

i know there is a place that do universal bumstops but they are asking for the the diameter of the piston rod and the length of it too....anyone know the diameter of the piston and what length the bump stop should be at for my bilstein B8 shocks ?????

thanks.

that would make sense ! I have been looking too, don't they just have a protective Gaiter fitted to B8's ?

B6 & B8's are the inverted style damper where the gas& oil cartridge is at the top of the strut in the shiny silver bit. That's why they are so fat, rather than just being like a thin rod. SO the thin rod part is facing down inside the yellow tube. They have the bump stop inside the yellow part of the shocker, so you do not need additional bump stops.

I'm sure beemerlad has got it right, but I've certainly managed to bottom out the back of mine on some bumps near work. A bit more cushioning wouldn't go amiss.

You have to insert them into the strut which the spring sits on.

the long tube fits into the strut housing (yellow side down) and the collar nut you can see in the pic covered in copper grease then holds that into the strut housing/ spring platform

Ok guys...i fitted the b8 shocks and eiback springs and wow what a difference. very sturdy and rigid slightly harsh on the roads but that also could be due to my low profile tyres on my 17" rims. but going over bumps its perfect very controllable and keeps the car together.

thumbs up for bilsteins b8 and eibach pro springs. just need new rims now.

selling my 60mm springs if anyone wants it.
