hmmm does the iS have a speed limiter, or is that just generic ad speak?

I dont really think the 318is engine take to well to a "Generic" chip.

The IS is a funny beast, they respond best to a live remap.
I would expect gains, (if any) to be around 5-8Bhp max, although minimum gain should be a better throttle response.

i have one of these chips on my i.s the power gains are good makes a very noticeable difference (more noticeable against a car you've tried it with before the chip rather than actually feeling it for me) but be wary as these cars are hard to chip. my car doesn't idle well at all, fine when driving but can be annoying. i think alex has one and his runs fine just luck of the draw i guess. as for the rev limiter i dont have one now
, makes a good noise around 7k though .

M42B18 chips very well with a generic file, as long as its the correct software version there are good gains to be had
buying cheap Ebay tat, good feedback or otherwise is madness IMHO.
buy from a reputable source only guys, remember a wrong choice on something like this WILL blow your engine ultimately.

very pleased with it too
but as said you only really have a 1 in 3 chance of it working as there are 3 ecu versions, i took a chance and got lucky

i dont think they have because i remember someone else buying that chip and got idle problems which equals wrong firmware
you could always ust change the ecu, but the time you have done that you could have just bought one from evolve for about the same price as it would be to buy another ecu and that chip
