Sand and spray the replacement door and bonnet
Replace the windscreen
Fit the cruise control
Wire in the laptop for built-in GPS and music management
...and work out why a 320 is so bloody slow!

I'm going to finish fitting the last quarter of my Eibach suspension tomorrow, currently have 3 Eibachs and one standard (on the front drivers
) as it got too late!
At least now I know how to do it right
Other than that;
Sort out the rust on the bottom of the arches, and front valance
Suede gear & handbrake gaiters
Euro numberplates and BMW surrounds
15" BBS or similar alloys (when I've nuked the current hodgepodge of 14" tyres)
smoke the headlights
can't wait to do this!
oh yeah, and a new BMW badge for the bonnet

doubtfull, second hand boxes seem to go for £400 and are an unknown quantity, paid £450 for a complete rebuildwith all new bearings, seals and a new first motion shaft back in December, got the car back on the road in may, have done about 2000 miles since then and yesterday whilst driving through town it started knocking in third, and rattles like hell at idle.SeymourCake wrote:unlucky mate.harry_p wrote:best add 'get the gearbox rebuilt again' to my list.

Mine lights up, but the glass won't drop. I can hear a click from the door when I push the "up" button, so I'm assuming it's a dirty/corroded contact in the pillar plug.gareth wrote:mine too! annoying! the light doesn't illuminate on mine... could be a syptomomommmStuBeeDoo wrote: O/S/R window inop

To say I'm not best pleased is a bit of an understatement!
No warranty on the work mate??
Blimey, where to start!
320i Convertible:
Fix the bloody aerial!
Sell it. She'll be missed, but there are other cars I fancy.
325i Touring:
Probably sell it, but there are things that could be done, like fixing the a/c, replacing the cracked dash and gearknob & s/wheel.
320i 4dr - the keeper!
Short term:
Get it serviced.
Source and fit leather handbrake gaiter.
Get the odd bits of rust professionally sorted.
Replace the drivers seatbelt, MoT advisory again this year!
Clay bar.
Medium term:
Source and fit beige leather sports front seats
and rear head rests
and iS lip
and Tech1 Spoiler
and SE sill covers
and Z3 shortshift
and mtech/aftermarket shocks/springs
and Touring arbs
and taller open diff.
Detail engine bay.
Long term, possibly never:
Replace dash if the crack gets any worse (it's only happened in the last year!)
Rape a 525e for its short engine to park beneath the 731 head
Gearbox, lsd, chip, inlet/throttle body to suit
Disc rear end & 51mm struts
Z3 Rack
Stainless exhaust (BTB3 fannymould too if I'm feeling properly flush)
Cream leather clad centre console/gaiters
Colour code cream glovebox & drivers knee panel
BMW wood gearknob/handbrake handle, wood rimmed nardi/momo s/wheel
Hartge 16" one piece wheels.
Retrofit cruise & a/c & heated seats.
If I get a few bob together, I'll do the lot, and end up with my ideal, understated, e30. I don't plan to ever sell the car, so provided I don't write it off or let it rot away, it'll probably go that way in the end.
