I'll be swapping all these parts on my car this weekend, hopefully (weather and woman permitting.) Is there a photo walkthough available, and if not, is there much interest in one? I don't mind keeping the camera around whilst I take it all apart if there's people out there who think they'll need it.

Doors?
Un-plug the electrical socket
Un-bolt the check strap
Remove the two hinge pin bolts
Door is now held on the lower hinge
Lift door clear
Wings?
Remove front bumper.
Unbolt wing
Note that a selection of fasteners are used
Remember to remove plastic liner to access 'A' pillar bolts
Bonnet?
Mark position of hinge
remove bolts and lift off
Bumper?
Remove bolts(torx 55)
As the bumper is slid forward, reach under and disconnect the indicators.

It is simple.... But one thing..
The check strap dosnt un-bolt... The check strap has a pin system.. Look on the pillar and you will see a pin, it has a little circlip on it. Remove the circlip and then nock the pin through with a suitable hammer...
This is how it is on mine atleast I removed my door last week.

Single hard smack upwards removes the pin! As for the rest of it, it is all as simple as that!m_jermyn wrote:It is simple.... But one thing..

There's a countersunk bolt with a female hex head each side holding the wing under the headlamp that can get missed, and the bumper bolts can cause problems if they have been overtightened and not protected against rust. When you put them back, coat them in copper grease, and don't torque them down like cylinder heads bolts - they may be 12mm bolts, but they are only locating pins - they only need to be tightened enough to ensure they don't work loose.

This is all good stuff. On closer inspection, all the panels I have need some repainting first, so I'll do that and then get these write-ups done as and when the parts are fitted.

Ooops, that was me, Stella forgot to log out!
Main thing is to remember that these cars were built on a moving production line,so all fixings have to be simple and quick.
