I've no idea, the s50 is the e36 M3 motor mate, so 3.2.
You're thinking of the s38 in the e34 m5's, more grunt but no vanos etc and heavier, not that the s50 is light!!!
Ah gotcha. As usual getting myself in a muddle.
The S14 is a strong little engine but I think the s50 could have more potential to get the power from. If I remember correctly I think there is a 1-3bhp gain from the carbofiber airbox. Personally I would go for a new exhuast ststem for the M3. I think it was you that said they are nearly £900 for the BMW one ( if you can get it) so I would get a copy made in a light high grade stainless made up.
Also you could get the head polished. Maybe get some sonic cleaned injectores installed too. but I understand how you got very little you can do now as it would be extream mods for little gains.

New clutch fitted (been in my cellar for a couple of years), new centre section and back box, all fluids changed inc brake, diff and gearbox. Wheels to be refurbished and two rear tyres.
Might be over budget a touch

I'm gonna have a proper think bout this and spend wisely! Although I like the beer and hookers idea .

it has been

I think the best option and also the one that wifey would like best is if I tidy the car up and sell it,
after all, that was the agreement I made with her in order for me to be allowed to buy it.

lol, I was supposed to be just tidying the touring up to sell it on for a quick buck when I bought it, well that was the excuse I gave her

She knows the score though
