I beg to differ on that front dave.
Well I guess the M3 is a good match but the all conquering 325i sport (Even sans BTB ) struggles against a properly driven std hot hatch.

We are talking factory cars here, Not molested, Tuned and tweeked cars. You have to look at it like for like.
sans means without :)

avec is probaly the word you were after ;-)
E46 M3 CSL but dreaming of another E30.

Yeah over on the CTR forum, we're always complaining about being left in the dust by 20 year old boxes with engines hanging out the bottom.

'If only I had rust' was one of the comments I think.. :)

I'll be honest I think my 2.8 is level with one the short boxes do wonders for them.
Good cars but I prefer to have an e30 to hammer around.

You would have to fold the mirrors in, and remove the heavy glovebox.

May also help to be towed by a concorde.

You would need a LOT more than that to keep with a Ruf CTR.

0-60 in 4 secs, 213mph and engine on wheels traction...and that is an 1988 version.

Check the nurburgring hotlap vid on the tube..

muahaha

I recently spoke to a bloke called Dave at BMW who told me that the new M3 is based on the E30 318is which is where it gets its great handling and glove box technology from.
