Seriously though, don't think I've ever seen one on an E30 and was curious if anyone has fitted one? Can it be done?
E30 cupholder?

In fear of sounding a bit gay, I think they are one of the coolest inventions on newer cars. I love a cup of coffee if driving somewhere early doors, or even a coke on a day like today. The possibilities are endless....

Judging by the interior I would say no!
i have a portable one that comes and goes as it wishes. It carrys two cups and can be fitted to any car... i think they call them passangers

large mcdonalds drink fits neatly between the handbrake and the centre console thingy, just need to remeber to hold it if you would like to rapidly slow down.

Have a look at this.

I have mounted two of these in black (they fold flat to about 2 cms) on the doorcards just above the pocket. They look like they were meant to be there.
