Hi

I have a 1989 325i Touring Auto

Where the 'gear' stick is, around it I have 4 electric window switches, then on the passenger side I have a small square button which has no markings on it, and on my drivers side there is an rectangular button also markings have all faded and are missing however, when this button is pressed it pops out a little and its red all around the bottom of the button.

Any ideas? I figured one is probs to turn off the electric rear windows but they dont work anyways.. havent a clue which is which and what they do?

Cheers

Rectangular button is a breaker switch for the windows; the square one is a child lock for the rears.

I don't have an extra button on the left side of my gear stick and I don't have electric rear windows so that could be that one.

I believe the extra one on the right hand side is the shut off in case you trap an arm or something in the window. It cuts the power to the window and the button re-sets the power.

But dont quote me on that

only downside is you have given your number plate up

i used to have mine on a dummy fog light switch, as not many thieves would turn on the fog lights before starting a car.
