My CL intermitently stops working and buzzes when using key in drivers door, problem is that the doors were dead locked and the CL has gone so I cant open the passenger door! Poo, anyone know if I can send a live down the loom to open it? If so which wire on a 86-87 325i sport uk (pre-face lift)?
Also are there door connector repair kits, or has anyone got the terminals as water got into the connector (between door and body) and this seems to be why the CL is bungled
Any help muchos appreciado!

Dig the locking ECU out from its hiding place under the driver's side footwell speaker, and apply 12 volts to the red/black wire.
Look in through the speaker hole, and identify two seperate red/black wires going to the back of the door pillar socket. Cut them as close to the socket as possible, and connect the ends that you have cut away permanently together.

Joining the wires will usualy bring your central locking back into full and permanent working order, and will also help to stop further corrosion taking place inside the door connector.
This is a modification that should be done to all E30's; not just those with locking problems.

I did mine as Brian suggested and my connector was also corroded so I got a good one off a scrapper which was cut about 3" down the wires and spent a fun afternoon bulleting the the loom to it...its worked for 2 years ....you can rewire the old one as the parts are available
