Hi guys,

When I turned the key 90 degrees left on the driver's door, it will lock both doors and deadlock the passenger door. However the driver lock will not deadlock. I wonder what is the problem ?

Thanks

This is a common fault. The passenger deadlock is triggered from an electric switch on the driver's door lock. The driver's door deadlock is trigered mechanically by the 90 degree turn, when the lock wears it doesn't trigger the mechanical lock any more. If you keep doing this it will eventually decide not to unlock the driver's door with the key! Get a new lock barrel from the dealer. If you do a search on here there is plenty advice on how to change it and to make the new barrel fit your old key.

Thanks for the advice.

Should I get the repair kit or the whole lock cylinder ?

I don't know what is included in the repair kit. I bought a whole new barrel. It is the spring loaded arm on the end that wears and doesn't work properly.
