I managed to break one of the push/pull rods on my Auto roof - totally bent the top one with the swivel joint, which I've now purchased from the dealers. Unfortunatley, I think the operating motor also became misaligned.
Can anyone help me with the mechanical sequence of opening and closing the roof? At the moment, during the closing sequence, it gets part way and stops!
The opening sequence seems fine, in that the horse-shoe lid opens and the top comes back, however, it doesn't compress the roof fully into the compartment - The roof is brand new and has never been stored, yet, so that probably doesn't help.
The main motor (has the cover over it) rotates an oval shaped plate, which at the end of the rotation pushes against another plate (both are connected to push/pull rods). Firstly ,does one plate site over the other and what is the sequence of movements?
It's really frustrating to have got it to work half way, so I'd be extremely gateful for your help and advice.
Many thanks!
