I had this problem with mine last year. But the problem only happened when the engine was warm. Would start on the button when cold but when warm would take several seconds to catch. I basically bought a cheap pressure gauge plumbed it in inline just after the fuel pump under the rear seat. After doing this I noticed that the pressure would drop off almost immediately when turning the engine off. Installed a new pump and this solved the problem.

the correct way is to measure the fuel pressure at the fuel rail, so a tee piece is required and a pressure guage fitted after the fuel pressure regulator but before the fuel rail. this way you can tell is the fuel presuure regulator faulty or are the injectors leaking.

you should be able to maintain 3 bar running and not drop below 2.1 bar after 5 mins with engine off..... but a clue to your problems may be in your post, is your battery ok??
