I did. Someone mentioned earlier, something along the lines of "just because someone is from another country, doesn't make them a bad driver" well sorry, but in India the driving test is to drive along a road, turn left, turn right, sound the horn, and stop. As 78dude said, the learning procedure in Finland is the most stringent in the world, it takes years of training to get a license. Ice driving, powerslides, the difference between front and rear wheel drive, etc. Learning to drive there is a bit like studying an A level.

The UK test is borderline farsical. I've seen many brilliant drivers fail repeatedly, and I'm sure you've all seen dopey drivers that have passed but shouldn't be allowed in charge of a scalextric car.

I'm partly of foreign decent, but it feels like a large part of me is dead already, so no need to kill the foreign part. Fiona, technically you only "should be shot" if you're a foreign "driver" - stay away from the cars and m4xos should stay away from you.

Again, Im sorry for your loss of the car you loved so much!
I was my self a Norwegian based in the UK for about 4 years and I dont feel offended, I live for the moment in Sweden so Im still a 3rd party guy in the country I stay in now. But for all of you guys who fell the geographi test, Sweden is the neigbour country of Norway so in a way this is like my home country...

Accidents on roads happends all the time, where ever you are in the world, they even crash their cars in Sweden to, and some of them is British people who take their E39 540iA on a trip to Northen Sweden during winter time and they dont bother to change tyers, so some times they must fly back home with a plane because they discover for the very first time, that combination summer tyers and snow and ice dosent fit like a hand in a glove so they hit an elk, other cars or they cant keep in on the road. Back in Sweden it is a wrek of an RHD BMW with British plates who will never see British roads again.

As long as this stupid imigrant had a valid car insurance, I do not see what is the problem!
Next time it the person who started this tread who crash into an Italian Ferrari some where on the European main land and that will not be a cheap meal to eat?

Mind you a mate of mine was nearly killed in Germany when he was doing well over 140 in an Escort Cosworth!
The thing was it wasnt his fault it was the polish guy comeing up the autobahn the wrong way in a lada!!!! needless to say he spent many a month in hospital.
But saying that it happens a lot in europe, cars going the wrong way up the autobahn, called ghost drivers.

not happy, driving my e30 sensibly today along a main road, then out of no where a car pulls across two lanes from a side road and stoves it striaght into the side of my IS, what isit with foreign drivers, think hes the first one ever that actually has insurance!!

rang up my insurance, luckily protected my 5 yrs no claims 2 days ago!!! phheewww!!! and they sent me striaght to sewards, now i gotta go through the motion and try and get a few grand for it if they write it off,
they just look at it as a h reg car and that its an old shitta!! Reckon they will offer me something stupid like 400 quid!! can you still buy your cars back from insurance companys nowadays??
