I have an 89 convertible sith the smaller tail lights - thinking about changing to preferred larger lights with plastic panel in between prior to full respray.

Opinions aside as to best looking, is it a case of renewing the back panel and inserting new lights?

apparently the jobs a bit of a ballache (involves removing the back panel)
it has been done before and as you are having a full respray it may be worth doing

You will have to remove the rear back panel & part of the rear quaters.

thanks - will just upgrade lights to crystal style I think- don't fancy altering the back quarters.
