Folks, I haven't used my car for a couple of weeks and this morning the OBC was telling me that it was -30. It seemed to agree with the E46 until today so I guess something is ill.
Should I start with the sensor, the wiring or both? What am I looking for?
Sorry to be pathetic but I haven't looked into this stuff before!
Thanks

The sensor is behind the n/s fog light. Trace the wire back and see if it is broken, If not then a new sensor from the dealer's fella.

To check the wiring unplug the sensor and touch the wires together or use a bridging wire, your reading should go up to maximum
then disconnect them and it should go back to -30 or less
Also while under there check for caroshion in the plug
