where do i get one, and are there different versions ?

are they bespoke ?

how much are they ?

do they actually work ?

yes,len1 has these used in pbmw,i got mine from him after 2 sumps
i'll add a pic in a bit,,he's in southampton but will post it 8) this is easy fitted.
only one side of cross member to drill, 8)

i think pre and post facelifts are different fittings, make sure you get right one

yep user name[len1] the other bolt holes are in the cradel only four in total to whole job,,
i've had mine about 6 mths now,,no more sump probs :D vented aswell

Im seriously interested, just m50'd my car and its lowered all round also its not settled as its got new shocks and springs and the sump is only about 5 inches off the ground.

it doesn't at all a few length of steel and a couple of braces hardest bit is mounting and that only require a drill!

Unless you want one 4 or 5 times the weight you wont be able to make one as strong as that. Look at the pressings, thats what makes it so strong

its never going to be a race car so the weight is not an issue, sump protection however, is.
plus i do enjoy little projects like this, so will have a go.

I have a Facelift Original BMW one I can be persuaded to Part with For CASH :D
It was purchased in 2005 and used on the car for 2 races. Therefore is Like New.

been today. £150 for complete car as it is! couldn't see wether it had a sump guard or not, too many brambles, tvs, bedheads and mattresses! :)
