Hi all, I ain't been on for a few weeks, but some of you might remember me getting an 325i sport tech 1, due to financial demands with the business I might be forced to sell the beast, what do you think it's worth roughly, It needs tlc to get on the road, but in my opinion it's a good solid start for a project [which was my initial plan] and it's all there, I will get some pics sorted and be posting in the for sale section soon, but it's a hard thing to put a value on, surely it being a genuine sport [on logbook] should make it a good project for an E30 nut, all comments appreciated, thanks

How much did I pay for it then??? lol, Will take some pics as soon as i get chance, I can't see me finding time and money to do it anymore [don't fancy running a spare car at the mo], so would rather it go to someone who'll make good use of it and appreciate it

With tech1's it all depends on how rotten it is. tatty tech 1's clinging to an MOT tend to go for anything between £500-1000.

Keep it if you can. There is a whole load of bargains out there, including houses!!!
It would be a shame to end up giving it away, but its normally items that are classed
as luxuries that get affected first......I'm hoping to pick up a set of Pinas for no money
whilt the market is depressed as it is!!!!!!!Would be a shame to get rid if youve not had it long.

I thought the same to be honest, as it ain't the type of car that loses money [hopefully gain with time], but I've lost spare time and interest aswell as spare funds, If I don't get a sensible price I will sit on it, but some1 outthere might be willing to give it the tlc it deserves

it probably is venturing into sub-£500 territory, so unless you are desperate for the cash or have lost space to store it then i'd sit on it

The wheels do let it down, the bloke I had it off thought they were the dog's danglies and kept dronin on about them costing £600, He did'nt like it when I said they are £300 brand new in halfrauds, lol. I would prefer to sell it complete to a good home rather than break it, which is probably what I'll end up doin after christmas. Delivery could be negotiated if that's an issue though,

I don't get why this thread was started, unless the seller intends on making a quick buck.

Surely if you've had it five minutes and would like back what you paid, why do you need any other opinions?

You cannot expect a serious valuation from one shit photo.

It smacks of biting off more than you can chew, realising that under all that plastic make-up is a rusty shitter just fizzing away.

I hope the sale goes well but the quick turn around time from buy to sell will go against you, sob story or otherwise.

If you check my previous posts from when I joined here and first got the car you'll see my description of the car has been accurate from day 1, I knew the condition and work involved when I bought it [It's over 20 year old afterall] and this ain't Ebay mate, I don't expect anybody to buy it without seeing thoroghly what they're buying, and if I had something to hide I wouldn't try and sell it on a forum full of experts that know a lot more than me about these car's would I, In a way yes I have bitten off more than I can chew due to me being self employed my spare time and income is hard to estimate and control, I have always worked on car's and had a few projects, but now with a business and 3 kids in tow it ain't as easy as previous times, not once have I tried to dress this car up at something it ain't. And as for the SHIT photo as you put it, I ain't Max bloody spielman and that was my first attemp at posting a pic on here. The car is now in the for sale section on here with 2 more pics, but the best pics in the world aren't a comparison for coming and having a proper look, which any genuinely interested person is welcome to do. Just remember the figure's mentioned, they're hundreds not thousands [ sorry for the rant, but you're barking up the wrong tree].

The only tree I was barking up was the one marked I don't understand why you asked for a valuation. Also at the other tree marked reasonably expect a valuation from one shit photo.

The photo is shit as it's one photo and from one photo it's clearly impossible to appraise a vehicle's condtion. It wasn't being judged on artistic merit. Leave the sarcasm at home.

You asked for a valuation from a photo, no one mentioned popping round your house to kick tyres, nor was a sob story required about how tough your life is etc etc. There is no relevance to any previous posts.

My points were just direct points.

You know how much you paid for the car, correct?

You stated you would like that much money back, correct?

So why even bother starting a thread about its value unless there are other motivations, honourable or otherwise??

Any cars value can described as the price required to change the title of ownership. Seeing as you know this already... Well, I fear I'm starting to repeat myself, but perhaps it makes it easier for you to understand?

My other points stated the connotations associated with quick buy-sell turn arounds. That's before the West Midland tarnish is also examined........

Oh, this is a forum of enthusiasts, not experts. They'd have to be super human to value that turd from one crap picture.

No need to rant!!

It makes no difference what I paid for it, if it's worth more or less to the man that buy's it that's what I'll get, I was just after ball park figures from people who have more knowledge than me on these car's, afterall I didn't go looking for this car particularly It got offered to me and I bought it [I do buy and sell a few car's and commercials related to my business], it ain't like a mondeo or fiesta where you can look in the autotrader and get a rough valuation based on model and year. If I can make a profit I will and won't hide the fact, but that ain't my motive, if it was, a quick bodge MOT + TAX and a b*llsh*t Ebay listing of a taxed and MOT'd future classic would of been my approach. The rules of advertising on here clearly state a price must be stated hence the reason I asked the original question before I listed for sale, This car may well be a turd to you, but it may be an affordable toy to someone else, I appologise for barking/ranting, I do realise the point you was making [after taking 2 steps back].
What's wrong with westmidlands anyway, are we all seen as modern day Del-Boy's up here now then? LOL

It's on logbook mate, and not in biro, lol, If it wasn't on there I wouldn't say it was, I've been caught myself with them antics, bought a sierra cossy as it seemed cheap, but turned out to to be a re-shelled write off onto a standard GLS

Fair play, you've got a good point, I myself have seen many nice car's spoiled by halfrauds wheels and cerial box bodykit's, covered with dogsh!t glitter paint, and most are around Brum [Birmingham], and a few around by me too, why don't these d!ckheads stick to corsa's and escorts and leave the classy motor's alone, the ammount of BM's and JAG's that just look SO wrong!
