Did you buy springs for a 6 cylinder car, or cab or touring?

The pic I showed is of a prefacelift car. Only the rear arches are higher.
When I lowered the black car above, I used a H&R cup kit, I could get one finger in the gap between the front arch and the tyre.

Is it because the radius of the tyres are smaller??
Though i cant see that having this much effect?
I'm tempted to buy another set, different brand from a proper SHOP not ebay, but it was a pig getting this lot on!!!!

This is my pre facelift on which i think is a 60/40 drop.

Lack of a rear valance makes it look higher, but on the front i have to use a scissor jack before i can get a trolley jack under it.

lol hello tommy tractor!
i think, being a early 4 pot it sits higher, adding the springs drops it, but will stil sit higher then a 6 pot with the same drop.
i hope so cus im about to 60m drop my pre facelift and i want a bigger drop then yours!
be interesting to see it on standard wheels tho.

what width are the wheels? if they are 7j then they need 205/55/15 tyres to be correct.

You'll never get a pre facelift car to look as slammed as a late car

Woah, that was ridiculously high before!

There's nothing wrong with Jamex stuff, but when I fitted my 40mm springs from them I barely noticed a difference.
1 coil off each spring later and the car is now right :D (I've got shorter shocks, and I did it all VERY neatly, and the springs do NOT dislocate. I know someone will have a go at me about this, but I don't mind, it works fine, come and see!

If you get bored of the springs, I'll have 'em

Also to clear some other confusion, all convertibles, pre and post facelift have the lower facelift shape rear wheel arch.

How can a pre face lift car have a post facelift shape wheel arch?.
Other way round surely? Good to know though bss325i"] as it make it easier to replace a wheelarch, should i ever need to.

gooner look at the distance between the arch lip and the shoulder line on the rear quarter and you can see that your arches are indeed of the facelift variety!
