Smoked headlights DIY or new?

I suppose if you would like to have the satisfaction of knowing you "did it" yourself, i would go the DIY route.
But if you have a fear of cocking up the whole thing, then buy new.
PS: some zoners will sell you a pair of DIY smoked ones, just another option.

that and if you dont want the fear of breaking originals then go for DIY

i got the original hella lights
but the things come with such rubbish plastic adjuster bits they break and remaking the adjusters out of bits n pieces you find off the old light sis annoying too.

I had to buy a heatgun to do mine so while i was in B&Q i bought some thermal gloves too... that was a few quid well spent as you need to get them quite hot.
Mine took about a day to do and i played it safe by buying a 2nd set of headlamps from Eko on here, mine were held together with tie wraps
no wonder they wobbled about a bit, and i managed to make a good set out of the pair.
If i do it again i will do things differently, especially with the cross-haire's.
