Going for Satin Black paint job. Anyone got any pics?
Moderator: martauto
Hey guys,
As the title says, I'm pretty much sure I'm going to go for a satin black paint job once my e30's internals have been sorted out. Will be getting wheels painted black also along with smoked lights (smileys and indicators, although leaving the rears all red) and black trim to replace any chrome.
Has anyone got any pics of e30s finished in satin black to help me make up my mind?
Cheers,
Nick

Thanks dude. Getting mine done by a proper sprayer recommended through a mate. Just hope he does a job as good as the one in the link. Spending a bit of cash getting the car itself sorted so thought I'd spend a few quid on the paint job too, although not too much.
Good luck with the rattle cans. Be sure to post your pics!

I'd say the opposite myself... Satin black looks best with rattle cans. The rough and ready look.vinni wrote:Satin black looks cool if done professionally.

I beg to differ my fugly friend! I've found a 21 yr old blonde on the bonnet of an E30 is far more pleasant than a shiny paintjob.vinni wrote:Satin black looks cool if done professionally. But you cant beat a nice shine on a E30.![]()
You go for it Nick! The satin black will help hide those hand and a*se prints that those warm sticky evenings sometimes leave behind on glossy bonnets!
Good luck.
