looks interesting but odd. the rear doors should have been incorperated in the arches and still useable

A good idea badly executed :(

I think if like fuzzy said if the rear door were incorperated in and the arch was stretched to fit the whole of the back door plus fit the front bumper straight it'd be sweet!

I think this is a bit of a rat look. Think he's more concerned about how it goes rather than how it looks.

Well well news travel fast on here! I've just got back from the ring and yes it's a shed.

Sporting an M30 the driver was a pilot and the thing was f**king rapid round there

Saw this in the flesh, just got back.
Looked ropey as, but very light, plastic windows all round and stripped to the bone.

Was very quick on track by all accounts.

Looks like (bad) fibreglass panels to me, I'm guessing the owner is after speed rather than looks.

I was there and saw this close up. It had an M30 3.5 and was not built to be pretty, it has perspex windows, nothing but a cage, pair of seats and harneses inside. The wide arches were there tp accomodate the wide rear wheels and NOT to look phat init!

i keep thinking of building an M3 arched touring (yeah right, like ive got the time) and my first thought was how gash that looked but then i realised it was still a four door, kind of. i want to build a proper three door M3 touring, i reckon that would look pretty cool. all i need is the right kind of encouragement and a fair bit of moolah winkeye

I LOVE the tourings with M3 wings on but the only one I've seen done well is that red one on t'internet:
http://www.terrysaytherauto.com/yet_ano ... ct_car.htm

All it needs to look right is an Evo front bumper and splitter...

I think a 2 door M3 touring would make me soil myself Mat.. DO IT. DO IT NOW. DO IT NOW OR YOUR TODGER WILL DROP OFF..

You might have to get some polycarb rear windows made (I thought about it once too but I cant afford to build the garage let alone fill it with tourings and M3 bits).

Well there's the motivation, all you need now is the readies...

I honestly dont see the point of this post!

The car was built to the owners abilities, in fact its co shared so would have been built as a cheap track car.

Nothing wrong with it.

If thats the case surely it would have been faster before he attached (badly) 200kg of chicken wire and P40 ? :?

theres no point, dont need em, they are heavy, and its more ridgid with them welded up.
