how much do people get out of there tanks in there 325 auto, i have a touring and it costs me £50 roughly to fill up and it gets me about 230miles before she need to stop again, i have only had the car a couple of weeks and i am finding it to be the least economical of my to cars and my other car is a 315bhp mr2 turbo!!!! :? :? :?

i expected it to be a bit juicy but it seems really bad!!

i am a bit gutted as she is a really solid mint car, and lovely to drive and exactly what i wanted for a winter car but i may have to part with it due to her drink problem!!

what do you other 325 auto owners get to a tank?

cheers

Hi there, just done some tests on mine

Im getting 27mpg half town driving, half motorway, and the other day did 400 miles to a tank on a motorway trip, which worked out at 33mpg, this was all done using proper the proper grandad style :) stuck to 70mph, no hard exceleration ect.

To be honest the auto box is bad for consumption around town, but better on a run. Until last week it had been a while since i drove an auto round London it is easier the only side effects are the consumption and my terribly withered left leg :)

If you do alot of town driving a manual would be better.

this week i did mostly town driving and have done about 270miles the fuel lights not on yet but it will be soon :( having said that it will cost about £60 to fill up so not far off yours.

Give it a service, if you havent already, and drive it like there is an egg under the throttle!!!

cheers maggs

325's are greedy I get around 70 miles for 20 quid of fuel ? so your not doing too bad at 230 miles for 50 quid if i drive very carefully i get a bit more

the trouble is that i have only had the car for a couple of weeks and i'm in love with the noise!!!

lol

and i do have a heavy right foot but that is my driving style!!

after all i have a mr2 turbo and the turbo needs to be encouraged!!

it is looking likely she will have to go!!

i seem to have grown very attached to it in the short time i have had it, and can definately see why there is a following!!

but the whole thing boils down to the fact that it is a regular daily driver i need and with that in mind i need a car that doesn't drink more than a tuned 2litre turbo charged sports car!!

cheers for the info!!

My tank wasn't empty though :D

It took 55l to fill it back and did 397 miles

which equals 32.796365mpg, so yes i did optimisticaly round it up.

would you like to see my working out sir? :D
